TRC is growing tremendously and is seeking a dynamic, highly motivated Data Analytics Manager to join our newly established Enhanced Vegetation Management- EVM practice providing technical support, data solutions, and data-driven insights for our client and fellow TRC staff. The Data Analytics Manager will report to their respective Program Manager and will work at the direction of the Program Director, Program Manager, and the Client. This role will support operations and work on process improvement initiatives, optimization, scheduling, and coordination of Vegetation Management (VM) activities.

This is a HYBRID position that would work 3 days in the San Ramon office and 2 days REMOTE.

The Data Analytics Manager must be highly technical and have excellent communication and organizational skills to work as a member and leader of a larger Business/Data Analyst team to complete project tasks. The Data Analytics Manager collaborates with project managers, clients, and directs the work of other staff providing data analytics, business intelligence, and governance support on projects.

Job Duties:

· Works closely with Program Director, Program Manager(s), and internal teams to understand the broader reporting and analytics needs of the client and company

· Build and lead a data team to analyze complex data sets and come up with actionable recommendations, test these recommendations and share learnings with stakeholders

· Task management, balance workload, manage prioritization of projects, and manage and communicate timing expectations with staff

· Partner with internal and external teams to improve host data infrastructure and reporting

· Present analysis and recommendations to all levels of the company and work with stakeholder teams to rapidly execute and iterate

· Managerial duties such as time sheet approval, expense account approval, employee utilization forecasting, employee performance reviews, employee work assignments, budget preparation, proposal development, project scheduling, resource prioritization and project reviews

· Assist with difficult customers at the direction of the Program Manager (customer complaints, refusals, difficult access, agencies)

· Assist with monitoring the progress and status of various internal and external resources

· Provide the highest quality data for our users by continuously defining, developing and adhering to a data validation process from ingestion to end user workflows

· Assist with Agency meetings and field visits to review VM work as directed by the Program Manager

· Assist with management of projects – routine and non-routine

· Assist in management of the contract review process

Requirements:

· A Bachelor's degree in, Business, Management, or a related field, or applicable experience

· 7- 10 years related experience is required with a minimum of 3-5 years in senior management

· Demonstrated ability in leadership, team building, time management, building collaborative environments, accountability, and problem solving

· 3-5 years client facing or client interaction experience

· Presenting to small and medium sized groups

· Managing team of 5-10 direct reports

· Strong project management skills demonstrated by the ability to develop and implement effective workflow processes

· Adept at utilizing Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Access, Power Point).

· Advanced Excel proficiency required.

· Experience creating client-ready reports, charts and data analysis using Microsoft Excel.

· Collection of skills across Data Visualization (Power BI)

· Strong data analytical skills and desire to work with data. Ability to analyze large amounts of data, identify discrepancies and implement solutions.

· Meticulous attention to detail with a focus on quality.

· Database experience (Access, SQL, etc.)

· Experience developing and mentoring a team with a focus on succession planning

· Must be results-driven with expertise in continuous improvement methods

· Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, and organizational skills

· Demonstrated skills in conflict management and organizational problem-solving

· Highly motivated with the ability to work both independently and as a part of a productive work team

· Ability to convey vision, strategy, or other complex information effectively with the ability to influence and drive results and ultimately champion change

· Ability to work in a Matrix organization

· Job may require flexible working hours to include evenings and weekend

Highly Desired Not Required:

· Energy Sector, Power, and/or Utility, experience

· PMP certification or enrolled in the certification class

· 2+ years of progressive experience in utility or in other regulated industry (Preferred).

· Ability to think creatively to develop performance metrics, solve problems, and manage ambiguity.
