Position Summary
Support and grow the abilities of OPEO team to provide virtual public outreach and engagement support to project managers to plan and execute virtual meetings.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Acts as an integral member of the Office of Public Engagement and Outreach (OPEO) team to coordinate and produce virtual public events.
- Identifies “best practices” and approaches for both virtual techniques and data collection, research, and methods for both virtual and hybrid public meetings.
- Research, analyze and implement virtual outreach and engagement methods, tools and techniques to effectively reach and engage underserved populations (e.g., social media and pop ups).
- Oversees the administration and implementation of new virtual methods and tools, data collection and analysis.
- Coordinates data collection with IT for efficient and effective dissemination of OPEO metrics to report on and improve performance of the office.
- Develops timely and accurate reports for distribution to senior leadership; communicates findings and recommendations for implementing, tracking, and reporting on improvements.
- Partners closely with cross functional teams including the Planning, Rail and Transit, Highway (design and construction), IT, ODCR, Legal, Human Resources and the MBTA to inform of changes, needs and opportunities to improve the office and staff performance.
- Ensures compliance with IT standards and ADA requirements; provides technical guidance with system improvements to meet program/project requirements.
- Supports coordinators and producers in developing new and refining metrics, analyzing dashboards and reports.
- Identifies appropriate resources to support the mission of the OPEO.
Preferred Qualifications
- Salesforce and Engage is a plus.
- Highly proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint and Zoom are a must.
- Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum Entrance Requirements
First consideration will be given to those applicants that apply within the first 14 days.
Applicants must have at least (A) four years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, professional, administrative or managerial experience in business administration, business management or public administration the major duties of which involved program management, program administration, program coordination, program planning and/or program analysis, and (B) of which at least one year must have been in a supervisory capacity, or (C) any equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions below.
Substitutions:
I. A Bachelor's degree with a major in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for a maximum of two years of the required (A) experience.*
II. A Graduate degree with a major in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for a maximum of three years of the required (A) experience.*
III. A Bachelor's or higher degree with a major other than in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required (A) experience.*
- Education toward such a degree will be prorated on the basis of the proportion of the requirements actually completed.
NOTE: No substitutions will be permitted for the required (B) experience.
