Founded in 1947 by Nina Vance, the Alley Theatre is a pioneer of regional theatre, and one of the leading nonprofit theatre companies in the United States. STATEMENT OF JOB: *
Responsible for maintaining, upgrading, configuring and reporting on the companies databases, including Tessitura the Alley Theatres constituent management database. General duties include import/export of data from the database, creation and modification of reports, customization of tables, stored procedures and view within the SQL database itself. Training new users, configuration of security module and assisting where needed with documentation and customization.
The DBA will resolve database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues, along with troubleshooting of client/server issues.
As needed, this position will assist in the responsibilities of the rest of the IT Department including but not limited to desktop support, network maintenance and administrator, inventory distribution, and installation and configurations.
JOB DUTIES: **
- Create custom reporting as needed by Alley Theatre
- Periodic LIVE to TEST copies of database
- Import of data into system and configuration of system to accept imported data
- Version upgrades of database
- Custom programming as needed by Alley Theatre
- Training of new users or all users on new functionality
- Correcting/maintaining data integrity through system maintenance and programming
- Troubleshooting database issues as needed
- Troubleshooting, importing, exporting and assisting as necessary with other SQL-based database programs (MSDynamics primarily, Paycom)
- Assisting with database integrations both to and from Impresario into third party database (MSDynamics, Ranking Procedures)
- Assisting with third party access to the database via both local installations (TRGs DDX Purple Seven, JCAs DEC install) and tasked exports and external reporting (MOTOArts, Lott Entertainment)
- Assist in troubleshooting website interface and third party integrations (WordFly, iWave, WealthEngine) with the Impresario database
- Additional duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS*:
- Bachelors Degree in MIS or equivalent experience
- 3 or more years related experience/training and/or equivalent combination of education and experience in database programming and management
- Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server including SSMS, Profiler and SSRS
- Knowledge of Tessitura preferred
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and software
- Basic understanding of IT infrastructure including but not limited to networking, basic computer maintenance, repair and troubleshooting
- Ability to work with a diverse group to determine database direction and procedures as well ability to communicate needs of database systems
- Ability to document clearly and concisely procedures for database functions
- Attention to detail on a micro level in dealing with conversion data and for troubleshooting purposes as well as attention to detail at the macro level for reconciliation and troubleshooting from a large scale perspective

WORKING CONDITIONS: *
- Typical hours are during the day, but the position requires the flexibility to be available for weekend, holidays and evening work hours as needed.
