Job description
The Disability Determination Services Division (DDS) of the Virginia Department for Aging & Rehabilitative Services (DARS) provides accurate, timely, and cost-effective determinations for disability claims filed under Title II, Title XVI, and Title XIX of the Social Security Act, as amended.
DDS is seeking a Recruiter to manage branding/marketing efforts of the DDS to enhance the Agency’s image, its mission, and promote overall public awareness of recruitment and hiring efforts. Develop and execute recruiting strategies in support of organizational staffing objectives. Serve as point of contact for college/university career centers and other job fairs.

Minimum Qualifications
- Prior experience in the adjudication of disability claims filed under the Social Security Act, as amended.
- Proficient in the use of PC and position-related software applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to:
- Analyze information and data, arriving at well-supported decisions or conclusions following established policies and procedures.
- Multi-task, meet multiple established deadlines, and exercise responsibilities with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent applicable education and/or training.
