Job Title
Director, Net Zero Supply Chain
Overview:
The primary purpose of this role is to lead Mastercard’s environmental supply chain program. This role will serve as the primary liaison with Global Procurement to provide strategy, guidance and expertise to drive the success of Mastercard’s Net Zero 2040 goal. Key areas of focus will be the oversight of supplier engagement and interventions efforts to reduce Scope 3 emissions related to supply chain activities.

Role:
– Develop and execute supply chain emissions reduction strategies both short term and long term, including budgetary requirements
– Serve as main point of contact and SME for procurement team
– Build commitment and alignment with senior leadership, including business owners and procurement team
– Provide leadership and oversight of the environmental sustainability Scope 3 team
– Collaborate to embed sustainability in global procurement goals, category strategies, and other sourcing activities
– Lead Mastercard’s environmental supplier engagement and intervention strategy both internally and externally
– Develop MSA and KPI language and requirements to ensure targeted reduction of supplier emissions
– Demonstrate flexibility and creativity in navigating internal buy-in of business leaders, especially regarding “zero-leverage” suppliers
– Participate in ideation for Mastercard’s environmental sustainability goals and targets related to supply chain (Net Zero, RE100, interim Science Based Targets)
– Develop reporting metrics for reporting progress to Net Zero 2040 goal as pertains to the supply chain

All About You:
  • Significant prior experience with supply chain processes, stakeholders, business requirements, and corresponding interdependencies
  • Prior experience in environmental sustainability
  • Working knowledge of energy audits, renewable energy, green building certifications and other GHG reducing strategies

Colorado Salary Range: $96,000 - $149,000
