LOCATION: Remote (Northeast US Preferred)

Position Overview:

Eluna is seeking an experienced branding specialist and dynamic marketer to elevate and heighten the awareness of its organization and showcase its services focused on youth and families impacted by addiction and grief. Preference for candidates in Philadelphia/Northeast US geographic area.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Heighten the awareness of the brand on a national level, working with the team to enhance donor support, and promote greater understanding of Eluna’s programs.
  • Develop and refine messaging, delivery vehicles and creative content to effectively communicate Eluna’s mission and vision.
  • Develop and implement both short and long-term integrated branding strategies to elevate the organization’s profile while serving as the internal brand champion working with the staff and network partners on best practices.
  • Unify branding standards and ensure guidelines are up to date including soliciting and incorporating brand feedback. As brand champion, will be responsible for protecting brand integrity by compiling and organizing brand assets (photos, videos, collateral) for the team and recommending and leading any required brand changes.
  • Support internal and external program & institutional partners to promote the brand and communicate and enforce branding guidelines. Duties include, but are not limited to, providing necessary logo design and collateral approval to effectively enhance the organization’s story and impact and proactively supporting partnership and foundation deliverables and initiatives in a timely fashion by providing marketing and branding guidance and support to partners, sponsors and other stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the VP of Advancement to provide content for donor facing collateral such as integrated marketing campaigns, fundraising appeals, events and annual report. Duties include creation and/or review and approval of content such as email, web, social media and written collateral for items such as sponsorship packages, invitations, program books and advertising journals.
  • Collaborate with the program and advancement teams to create targeted content for specific audiences for items such as annual impact reports, grant reporting, conference presentations and other needs.
  • Successfully implement branding strategy through effective management of and collaboration with Eluna’s external vendors such as social media, public relations and development consultants by, without limitation, sharing strategy and calendar, preparing messaging for press releases and media opportunities, providing photo and video content, and collateral for contests and campaigns.
  • Increase the visibility of the organization by implementing effective SEO, enhancing audience development through digital marketing outreach including email marketing, blogs, press releases and social media campaigns and managing promotional items and potential web store sales.
  • Successfully manage creation, collection, analysis and application of marketing and branding data, through utilization of both internal and external resources; provide monthly, quarterly and annual reports as required and create surveys and outreach internally and externally to assist in the collection, analysis and presentation of data to the CEO and the board with recommendations for best practices.
  • Assess and recommend improvements for marketing and donation tools as needed to enhance donor experience and deliver clear and impressive brand messaging.
  • Work closely with the CEO and the Board of Trustees’ marketing and communications committee to enhance engagement and achieve branding goals.
  • Contribute to successful event outcomes by managing all event creative content, such as talking points, invitations, collateral and media advisories, managing photo and video providers, ensuring proper branding at events, including, but not limited to, the annual fundraiser, Community Conversations and partner fundraisers.

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies

  • 5-8 years of successful experience in marketing
  • Agency or nonprofit experience highly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related discipline or, a relevant combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and competencies to perform the essential functions of the job
  • Experience with Mailchimp, Adobe Creative Suite, PowerPoint, Canva, or other similar platforms as well as being comfortably knowledgeable on website management (Expression Engine) and SEO; and adept at utilizing current and future social media platforms including advertising and audience targeting.
  • Skilled at using Microsoft O365 and Salesforce, or similar database, products and services
  • Working knowledge of all paid, earned and owned MarComm functions — creative, advertising, direct marketing, public relations and promotions.
  • Demonstrable experience with revenue generating, multi-channel fundraising campaigns.
  • Ability to add value to the organization and effectively work with team members and external stakeholders in various locations
  • Ability to multitask, be creative and work within nonprofit budget realities
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
