We are looking for an experienced Director of Nursing Services (DON) to organize and oversee all nursing operations of the facility. Our organization is searching for a hard-working and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) who steadily developed managerial and administrative skills. Our services are focused on short-term rehabilitation, therapy and nursing needs. The goal is to foster an excellent environment that will support everyone in working to the benefit of hospital and patients alike.

Responsibilities:

· Support the administrative and clinical needs.

· Guide staffing procedures for CNAs, LVNs and RNs.

· Set objectives and long-term goals for the nursing department.

· Organize and coordinate admission, nursing and patient care procedures.

· Knowledge of trachs, ventilators, g-tubes, medication and wounds. (preferred)

· Develop and enforce policies aiming for legal compliance and high quality standards.

· Help verify employee credentials and monitor the daily rounds.

· Resolve issues and deficiencies when needed.

· Manage record-keeping procedures.

· Assist in safe discharge planning and care for residents’.

· Make rounds as necessary to assist nursing staff.

· Collaborate with other departments and professionals to streamline operations.

Qualifications:

· Proven experience as an DON.

· Valid RN Nursing license in State of Texas

· Current CPR certification

· Experience in senior living (AL, SNF) or rehab setting. (preferred)

· In-depth knowledge of LTC Regulatory Guidelines

· Understanding of basic budgeting and financial reporting.

· Great knowledge of legal regulations and best practices in healthcare

· Willingness to keep abreast of changing standards in nursing administration

· Great communication and people skills

· Aptitude in problem-solving

Pay: $105,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
