Mesa Airlines is recruiting for a dynamic, experienced Director of System Operations Control. The system operations control center (SOC) is the 'brain' of airline operations and SOC staff member monitor and control all aspects of daily operations. Mesa is looking for a leader who can provide world-class, state of the art leadership to this vital airline function.

Reporting to the Senior Director SOC, the Director will use outstanding communication skills and coordination efforts, to maintain oversight of daily operations, to ensure the airline operates in a safe, legal, and efficient manner, and will oversee all aspects related to personnel and resource allocation. The Director will ensure that System Operations Control is operated in alignment with partner goals and policies, in order to facilitate seamless service and preserve brand integrity.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Responsible for ensuring that all SOC personnel are qualified to perform their assigned duties.
• Inspect and maintain all required training records, to ensure Dispatcher currency and compliance with all applicable regulations.
• Ensure all Dispatchers are assigned/scheduled in accordance with applicable regulations.
• As delegated by the Senior Director SOC, modify policies regarding Dispatcher duty/rest time process.
• Administer and oversee all aspects of department scheduling and bidding processes.
• Exercise oversight of SOC training programs: Aircraft Dispatchers, Dispatch Supervisors, and SOC Managers.
• Ensure that both System Operations Control and Emergency SOC facilities are adequate, functional, and are maintained in good repair, in order to facilitate safe and effective operations management.
• Ensure that Emergency SOC equipment is routinely tested and results are documented.
• Recruit and maintain a high performing staff.
• Maintain and promote a culture of quality performance and excellence
• Exercise oversight of staff performance, including development, evaluations, and corrective actions
