As commerce and industry further adopt cloud operations, there is a need for enterprise software organizations to transition their proven, market leading platforms to the newer models of deployment. In this context, Redpoint Global is transitioning the rgOne Omnichannel Customer Experience Platform to a Software as a Service (SaaS) delivery model. We expect that this transition will provide our customers with the very best user experience by giving them full access to all of the amazing platform capabilities with none of the overhead and associated resource requirements.

The Director of Quality Assurance is a key member of the Product team reporting directly to the Vice President of Engineering. This person will oversee implementing, enhancing, and overseeing tools, processes & methodologies, and metrics to support the Product team’s relentless pursuit to deliver high-quality software products.

This role requires the person to lead a large globally dispersed team, be influential, develop and drive methodology & process, and continuously grow quality skills to define and manage the overall quality agenda for Redpoint’s product suite.

Responsibilities

  • Drive end-to-end software quality, while focusing on ensuring strong customer experiences and instilling quality as a core discipline into every aspect of the product development organization and the company as a whole
  • Responsible for the overall testing strategy and tactics, including environments and tools with a focus on requirements management, test case management, test design, test automation, continuous integration, performance, and security
  • Develop, track, report, and act upon metrics and KPIs that provide transparency and continuous improvement of product development effectiveness and product release readiness from a quality perspective
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives with defined benchmarks and measures that focus on product quality
  • Ensure compliance with standards for reporting and tracking of defects and their resolution across the entire product suite
  • Collaborate closely with product management and engineering teams to define acceptance criteria and validation of those criteria
  • Build and lead a strong and effective quality assurance team through mentoring, continuous communication, performance evaluations, and adhering to Redpoint’s core values.

Requirements

Education/Experience

  • 7+ years’ experience in Software QA
  • 3+ years’ experience in Software QA management
  • BS or Advanced AS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline OR analogous work experience

Mandatory Skills

  • Strong written and verbal English communication
  • Proven aptitude for learning new technologies
  • Experience working with geographically distributed and time shifted teams
  • Experience across the entire software development lifecycle, including requirements, design, implementation, documentation, testing, and deployment
  • Strong grasp of testing principles like independent validation, coverage, and product-specific testability problems

Desirable Skills

  • Experience designing and building functional and integration tests using automated testing tools for APIs, CLIs and GUIs
  • Experience with Azure DevOps and JIRA to facilitate SCRUM/Agile workflow
  • Experience working with SaaS and traditional software products
  • Experience with load and stress testing tools and methodologies
  • Experience with implementing QA best practices within the CI/CD methodology
  • Experience working with application security platforms such as Veracode and APISec
