Specific Responsibilities:

• Schedule and assign driver routes and vehicles to make deliveries or collect returned items
• Assign delivery driver for daily shuttle runs
• Plan and pre-determine routes and accommodate route changes as needed.
• Check out drivers, and distribute necessary paperwork
• Preparing dispatch documents, as well as generating invoices.
• Receive emergency and non-emergency calls and record significant information
• Address problems and requests by notifying Dispatch Supervisor or providing solutions
• Communicating with delivery drivers about delivery or pickup times, and special handling requests.
• Provide delivery drivers with information about orders, traffic, obstacles and requirements
• Enter data in computer system and maintain logs and records of calls, activities and other information
• Monitor driver’s route and progress and assist with problems as needed
• Communicate with Fleet team and all departments to assure accurate and expedient cycling
• Any other duties that may be required consistent with the overall scope of the dispatch position.

Qualifications:

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in basic computer skills
• Attention to detail
• Willing to work a flexible schedule
• Able to react professionally in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to manage multiple tasks within heavy deadlines
• Clean, valid driver’s license
• Delivery Driver experience a plus
• At least 2 years of dispatching experience required

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

• 10 hour shift

• Dispatching: 2 years (Required)
• Multi-line phone systems: 1 year (Required)
