The Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Coordinator is responsible for coordinating tasks necessary to assist in ordering durable medical/respiratory equipment for patients. This position serves as a link between our office and the external community, communicating patient needs to suppliers, and supplying updates and information about the progress of DME/respiratory orders on a routine basis. The DME Coordinator interacts with patients, as applicable to patient needs.

Responsibilities including however not limited to:

• Creates profile, DME/Respiratory files and organizes patient information efficiently and completely.
• Faxes final order, chart notes, and Face sheet to supplier; follows up to be sure they receive the information.

• Provides information to improve processes when appropriate.
• Participates in quality data collection, such as tracking of order submissions, etc., as appropriate.
• Completes follow up calls to families/patients following ordering to inquire about DME deliveries and satisfaction.
• Continues communication with vendor for changes
• Works with vendors, patients, and respiratory staff to get appropriate DME information.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
