Our team of full and part-time drivers, dock staff, and office employees have been serving our broad & loyal customer base since 1985. We are looking for professional, courteous, and qualified individuals to join our team.

This position is to ensure that SameDay always has a full staff, ensuring a flow of candidates so that SameDay can provide best-in-class service to their customers.

  • 11pm to 7am
  • 7am to 4pm Sunday - Thursday

The work in this position includes efficiently sorting, handling, and loading freight into and unloading it from trailers, and/or straight trucks. Requirements include the ability to take and follow written and oral instructions, the ability to complete work in a timely manner to meet customer requirements, a proven ability to have great attendance, and a commitment to working safely.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective movement of all customer freight
  • Address problems & provide solutions to issues that arise while on duty
  • Follows all safety and OSHA regulations
  • Maintain a clean and productive work environment
  • Monitor freight in the warehouse
  • Checking freight in & out of the warehouse
  • Loading & unloading of freight
  • Provide assistance to drivers on processes & procedures used by the company
  • Ability to work independently
  • Communicate issues or delays to the immediate supervisor
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Interact with customers in a friendly and helpful manner
  • Properly fill out paperwork
  • communicates with direct supervisor about issues with customers or freight.
  • communicates any accidents, injuries, or damage
  • collects signatures, scans and/or paperwork as required
  • Report all maintenance problems
  • Operate & drive equipment in a safe & efficient manner
  • Operate equipment: hand truck, load securement devices, lift gate & controls
  • Completes all training as required by safety or operations
  • participates in safety & operation training as required
  • Ensures a safe work environment with appropriate housekeeping
  • Reports to Dock Manager and/or Dock Supervisor

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
