Job Description
The position is responsible for working with community partners to provide training. Collaborates with staff to develop information and instructional technology training to result in the infusion of technology into the classroom and workplace.

- Teaches to meet standards in social emotional, physical, language, social studies, and the arts domains, in alignment with Department of Education requirements and standards.
- Creates an environment and structure for maintaining classroom order and behavior management.
- Demonstrates a strong working knowledge of child development and early childhood learning that informs the implementation of developmentally appropriate practices in the daily life of the classroom.
- Leads children in the classroom using project-based learning. Collaborates with co-teacher to plan and implement learning experiences.
- Uses authentic assessment strategies including photography, anecdotal records, children’s words, and artifacts as a means to analyze student learning, and make instructional decisions.
- Creates and displays children’s learning through documentation panels.
- Create and manage a portfolio for every child in the classroom as a form of authentic assessment to demonstrate children’s learning.
- Applies pedagogical and theoretical knowledge of early childhood education to engage in teacher inquiry in order to inform learning that is shared within the professional learning community.
- Mentor and coach pre-service teachers based on research-based practices.
- Communicate with parents through various means including weekly sheets, emails, speaking, and bi-annual conferences, with particular emphasis on children’s growth.
- Create and maintain classroom NAEYC portfolios.
