As the CORE Institute continues to grow, we are looking for a EMR Support Specialist for our Corporate office. Please see below for the functions and requirements for this position.
Essential Functions
- Supports and assists with management of EMR projects to include milestones, gap analysis, training, implementation, and troubleshooting
- Acts as primary resource for build and system maintenance of primary tables within the EMR
- Identify, troubleshoot, and provide resolution for EMR issues as they occur
- Day to day support for resolution of EMR related submissions through the Help Desk
- Coordinate communications among teams, departments, and organizations in relation to EMR systems
- Identifies problems, tracks trends, and initiates actions to improve performance towards achieving departmental standards.
- Assists with development, implementation of SOPs, workflows and training manuals for EMR
- Assist operational trainers with Provider and staff EMR training when needed
- Assists with workflows, process improvement with supporting EMR clinical applications
- Stays up to date of changes within the EMR including release updates and communicates to parties affected
EDUCATION
- Associates or bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in clinic operations and EMR platform
EXPERIENCE
- At least 2-years’ experience in EMR, preferably Athena. 2-3-years’ experience working in a clinical environment, orthopedics preferred.
REQUIREMENTS
- Travel required with the United States
KNOWLEDGE
- Knowledge of all operational workflows in all markets
- Knowledge of applicable healthcare rules and regulations
- Knowledge of revenue cycle applications
SKILLS
- Advanced and professional skills and experience in oral and written communication including analysis, preparation, and report presentation
- Must be able to shift priorities quickly and manage multiple projects at one time
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong organizational skills and careful attention to detail
