Our client, located in Waco, requires an Engineering Manager. This is a direct hire position.

OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Plant Manager, and working closely with the production, facility and quality departments, the Engineering Manager is responsible all technical aspects of the manufacturing facility, including engineering drawings, specifications for raw materials, finished goods, artwork, and continuous improvement initiatives.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

· Assess product requirements to determine and appropriate production methods.

· Develop and review design documents, specifications, verification plans, reports, and other related process documents for assigned projects.

· Responsible for ECO’s (Engineering Change Orders) within eQMS (Electronic Quality Management System)

· Work cross-functionally with individuals and within project teams.

· Lead cost reduction initiatives and projects as assigned.

· Create and improve manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixtures to meet customer demand while also improving product quality, process efficiency, and operator safety.

· Provide production line support including, but not limited to, implementing process improvements, troubleshooting equipment, and addressing operator inquiries.

· Create and improve manufacturing process documentation and assure that manufacturing processes and related documentation follow established policies and procedures.

· Utilize LEAN and other best practice tools and principles for day-to-day problem solving and continuous improvement.

· Coordinate Technical information with Thailand Facilities.

· Assist in identifying equipment needs on the production floor and evaluating internal and external options for sourcing such equipment.

· Write and execute process and equipment validations (IQ/OQ/PQ)

· Provide technical assistance to projects.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES

· LEAN manufacturing experience.

· Experience/knowledge with process and equipment validation, IQ/OQ/PQ.

· Demonstrated project management skills and initiative in taking on and completing projects.

· Strong attention to detail and documentation.

REQUIREMENTS

· Bachelor’s degree in appropriate Engineering discipline.

· Minimum of 5-years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.

· Minimum of 3 years in a management role

· Must have good verbal and written communication skills.

· Medical Device manufacturing experience required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
