Elizabethton Golf Course is seeking an Equipment Operator to join our maintenance team.
Job purpose
Performs work involving the use of both hand and motor propelled equipment, including tractors, loaders, trenchers, backhoes, trucks and other maintenance equipment to meet the standards involved with grooming a golf course.
Duties and responsibilities
- Mows fairways and roughs with gang units, operates turf vac, skip-loader, fairway and rough aerifier, boom sprayer for weeds and rough.
- Operates small equipment as directed by supervisor.
- Properly operates and maintains equipment, ie. Ensures equipment cooling system is working, refills fuel, oil cleans equipment daily and reports any equipment problems or failures to the supervisor immediately.
- Maintains a clean golf course and maintenance complex.
- Demonstrates courtesy to all Members and guests at all times.
- Obeys all safety procedures.
- Equipment Operators must be able to perform duties of a Laborer.
- Perform other duties as requested.
Qualifications
Two years of operational golf course maintenance experience preferred; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved
