Established in California, IvyBoost is an education center which provides services of college admissions counseling for junior high and high school students (6-12th grade) and for college students. With a methodology focused on the development of each individual student's talents and good traits, IvyBoost offers programs designed to help our students stand out from the competition.

We are looking for one-on-one writing mentors/editors for college admissions essays.

Responsibilities

• Guide students through pre-writing exercises, outlines, and essay drafts through online video meetings and email
• Serve as an intellectual mentor, bringing fresh ideas and resources to students’ attention
• Provide organized critique of essay revisions regularly
• Assist students by bringing essays to completion and perfection
• Keep students accountable and on task for timely submissions

Qualification

• Master’s degree from a very selective college in the field related to English or Journalism
• Previous essay editing experience with college application essays required
• Helped students in essay editing to get them into selective colleges
• Located in the U.S.
• Background check required
• Good work ethics and close communication with IvyBoost’s office
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Proficient on using Microsoft Word and Outlook
• Familiarity with using online video technology like Zoom, & possesses necessary equipment like working laptop, webcam, and connected internet

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $30.00 per hour
