Responsibilities


Vineyard USA (VUSA) is seeking a Full-Time Event Specialist to join the VUSA Events team in this dynamic season. Working alongside the VUSA National Team and other National Leaders, the work of the Events Team is to create and execute events to equip, encourage, and further empower local church pastors, leaders, and church attendees in their Kingdom mission.

As an Event Specialist for VUSA, you will be an integral part of the Events Team. In this role, you will manage all aspects of several VUSA events from concept to completion and provide key assistance in the planning and execution of large events. The position requires an organized, self-motivated, and proactive individual with excellent interpersonal communication skills and attention to detail. Please note: This position does require some travel and work time outside normal business hours.


Responsibilities


  • Work closely with the Director of Events and others within Vineyard USA teams to formulate event purpose, budget, and execution efforts for Vineyard USA

  • Manage all aspects of Vineyard USA special events including annual conferences, training, and equipping including planning, implementation, and execution

  • Provide leadership and direction in the planning and execution of high-quality events and functions

  • Develop working relationships with hosts, venues, volunteer teams, and contractors to execute a stellar event.

  • Prepare, manage and monitor budgets for each event and prepare reports as needed

  • Create, manage and synthesize feedback surveys and prepare reports as needed for all events

  • Work closely with Events Director and provide oversight of event calendars, communications, expense tracking, and registration reports for event-related revenue and expenses

  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Minimum of three to five years of event planning experience

  • Ability to proactively manage multiple tasks, prioritize work and be able to meet tight deadlines

  • Ability to create fundraising strategies and manage budgets and sales tracking for fundraising events

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment where directions and priorities can change rapidly

  • Detail-oriented

  • Respect for confidentiality

  • Ability to collaborate, take initiative, and make effective decisions

  • Strong verbal, written, interpersonal communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Solid writing, editing, and presentation ability

  • Experience with Google Workspace-based applications including general knowledge of databases, spreadsheets, and Gmail

  • Self-motivated & self-starting

  • Physical conditions:
    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

  • Ability to lift and move 25 lbs., extensive standing or walking during events necessary

  • Typical hours are during the day, but the position requires the flexibility to be available for weekends, holidays, and evening work hours as needed

  • Some travel will be required


The Details

  • Virtual Interviews: These interviews will be conducted via Zoom.

  • Project Phase: Candidates who progress through the process will be invited to this phase where they will create a project to demonstrate the skills necessary for this contract.

  • Reference Calls: Final candidates will share 3 professional references, whom we will contact.

  • Start Date: While the contract is slated to begin in December 2022 or January 2023, if you think you may be called to this work but feel you may need a little more time to transition from your current role, please write to us to discuss the details of your situation.

  • Location: Remote.

  • Travel: This position will require travel for approximately 15 events a year domestically.

  • Compensation: This position will be salaried at $50,000 to $60,000, consummate with qualifications and experience, as well as adjusted for location. This is a full time role with benefits including options for ICHRA healthcare, 403b matching, vacation and sick time.
