Job Description:

We are seeking experienced infant and toddler teachers to join the Kid's Castle and Little Acorns Family! You will be working with children aged 6 weeks to 2 years to help prepare them for pre-K. Join our team and get a new hire bonus!

Responsibilities:

• Instruct preschool-aged children in activities designed to promote intellectual, creative, and physical growth
• Develop careful and creative lesson plans suitable for preschool aged children
• Create a fun and safe learning environment
• Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
• Develop routines and activities to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime
• Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments in a healthy and positive manner
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents
• Communicate with managers and parents on students' growth and progress
• Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards to ensure the health and safety of all students
• Collaborate with other educators - Be a team player

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent minimum
• CDA (preferred, but not required)
• Completed DCF 45 hours required
• Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields required
• Passionate about working with children
• Ability to build rapport with children
• Positive and patient demeanor especially when dealing with children
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Be positive, hardworking, and personable
• Reliable, effective, and punctual
• Must complete background screening and fingerprinting prior to start date

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour
