Job Description
The Production Manager is responsible for supporting and coordinating all operations which occur at the export warehouse. Including all capital, inventory, financial, production, equipment and personnel resources.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare departmental costs and variances with regard to productivity, short and long-range planning, labor scheduling, product scheduling, raw materials, packaging supplies, product weights, inventory levels, sanitation and housekeeping
- Organize and facilitate production line activities to ensure conformance to established requirements regarding quality, safety, employee-relations, productivity and cost scheduled volume outputs
- Monitor productivity data and help develop corrective action plans necessary to achieve annual productivity improvements through a strong commitment to utilization of Brook Valley Salvages production standards and associated processes.
- Implement safety measures for accident prevention “Safety First” performance through monthly departmental safety meetings and working with line Supervisors to ensure hourly employee compliance.
- Oversee and coordinate entire container shipping including holding area, truck delivery, will call and combination loads to assure maximum productivity, quality and accuracy of shipment to customers
- Responsible for training management and oversee the training of supervisors, team leaders, production office personnel and new production hires.
- Maintain existing plant facilities and equipment; replace, or make adjustments to plant facilities and equipment when necessary

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching during most of the day. The employees must frequently lift and/or move items over 25 pounds.
Also required are experience and certification in the use of forklift and baling equipment

Required Skills, Abilities and knowledge:
· Must have 2+ years of experience in management of Production and or Processing lines
· Experience in Inventory Control
· Proficiency in organizational skills and time management
· Must speak conversational Spanish
· Strong working knowledge of safety, environmental, health and fire & life safety practices as well as regulations promulgated by OSHA, DOT, and other related agencies.
· Ability to communicate effectively to a diverse group of people.
· Ability to work independently and to oversee work of others
· Excellent oral and written communication and training delivery skills.
· Ability to exercise good judgment, work under pressure and plan, prioritize and schedule remote resources.
· Flexibility to travel up to 25%.

Pay: $54,437.00 - $58,299.00 per year
