The Fabricator/Welder will be responsible to retrofit, repair, and maintain various agricultural and domestic water pump systems. The ideal candidate will have experience with various types of shop equipment such as welders, calipers, band saws, cutters, and threading tools. This candidate will also have an advanced knowledge of welding metal pipe.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Fabricate, repair, and maintain various agriculture and domestic water pumps
• Retrofit by cutting, bending, and/or assembling metal material
• Perform various types of welding including mig and stick
• Responds to assigned work orders in order or priority or as directed by supervisor.
• Perform quality checks on finished product
• Grinding and finishing completed product
• Maintain shop equipment in good working order, grinders, drill press, welding machines and other shop related equipment
• Ability to work with various metal tools such as, rollers, flame cutters, and drill presses
• Must work well under pressure, meeting multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines
• Other duties as assigned
• Fitting, setting, and installing fabricated structures
• Cutting and welding with a variety of processes
• TIG weld stainless steel
• Metal forming, bending and finishing
• Inspecting and testing welds with precision measuring instruments.
• Clocking & leveling flanges

Qualifications:

3-5 years’ experience with fabrication equipment and welding experience

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

Ability to lift and manipulate large metal objects

Class "C" driver’s license & acceptable driving record

Wage: Depends on experience $25 – $30 per hour
