SNF Holding Company is currently seeking a Facility Engineering Manager in Riceboro, GA.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate the organization, staffing, and operational activities for the wastewater treatment facilities, and provides employee education on rules, regulations, codes, safe work habits and potential hazards presented by their work; Develop and implement techniques and methods of process control, which increases the Wastewater plant's efficiency; Prepare the monthly DMR reports for Environmental permit compliance purposes; Keep complete and accurate reports; Act in lead capacity regarding plant operations and informs management of issues requiring attention; Assist in interviews of prospective employees; Make recommendations on hiring and placement and directs the training of new personnel; Manage compliance of federal (EPA) and state environmental program requirements related to air, wastewater, stormwater and waste; Understand environmental regulations applicable to the facility and assess compliance, procedural and financial impacts to the facility; Support internal customers by overseeing, developing, and implementing Environmental activities as assigned; Coordinate data collection efforts for use in preparing permit applications, environmental plan updates, environmental reports, and corporate ESG reporting efforts; Complete periodic reports - air, wastewater, annual SWPPP, annual hazardous and non-hazardous waste, SARA Tier II, SARA TRI, etc.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
- 2 years related experience.
- Prior experience must include: Developing and implementing cost-effective techniques and methods of treating polymer processing waste from high-pressure reactor wash; Applying troubleshooting/problem-solving techniques as required to quickly respond to many varieties of operation issues from the processes like falling film evaporator process and SBR biological process; RCRA experience including hands-on waste profiling and waste management for both hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
- Wastewater Operator Class I or II license is required.
- 5% nationwide travel required.
