Field Data Collections and Assessments Technician/Laborer

TRC is currently interviewing for multiple Field Data Collections & Assessment Technicians/Laborers throughout southern Virginia including Halifax, Dinwiddie and Brunswick, VA. The Field Data Technicians will be responsible for supporting engineering planning design to support a large-scale broadband fiber infrastructure program. This position reports to the Program’s Design Supervisor.
Once training is completed in Richmond, VA, a company vehicle will be provided.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
·To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty meeting external and internal client expectations.
· Responsible for performing field audit data collection on existing overhead power and communications assets, taking all field notes/sketches, pictures, and measurement data to complete accurate data reporting.
· Collaborating with other designers, Survey Crew Members, and right-of-way Agents.
· Maintain safe working environment.
· Perform additional duties as assigned.
PREFERRED TRAINING, EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND/OR SKILLS
· Experience with construction inspections, field survey and overhead power are highly desired.
· Communication infrastructure experience is a Plus
· High school certification or Associates Degree.
· Excellent organizational skills
· Keen attention to detail
· Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills
· Experience in reading construction plans and preparing construction sketches a plus.
