Field Engineer

This position will require experience in all aspects of telecommunications construction work to train, lead, and develop several construction crews.

What Do You Offer Us?

  • Manage Subcontractors for the assigned market or project
  • Inspect the work of construction contractors
  • Understand general practices of Telecom construction both underground and aerial.
  • Collect market data needed to permit and build fiber projects
  • Evaluate conditions in the field to determine constructability of proposed running lines
  • Collect Data on proposed running lines to be transmitted to design/drafting for permit preparation
  • Resolve complaints with property owners in areas where our personnel are working.

What is Required?

  • Bachelor s degree in engineering or equivalent is required
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License
  • Knowledge of fiber networking, routing, switching and network management
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Excellent client and internal communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Capable of working in all temperatures, climates, and weather conditions.

This position is subject to the Federal Department of Transportation (DOT) drug & alcohol testing regulations as outlined in 49 CFR Part 382 and/or 49 CFR Part 199.
