Position Summary
The Financial Reporting Division of Accounting Administration is involved with all SEC and regulatory financial reporting produced by the company. The Financial Reporting Analyst II role has more experience than a Finance Reporting Analyst I and has developed significant level of expertise in one or more functions of the division. The Financial Reporting Analyst II would not typically have any direct reports but would be relied upon to demonstrate initiative, to complete work in a timely and efficient manner, and be able to research and suggest improvements in processes related to their function. He or she ensures that reports, filings and the supporting documentation comply with company's policies, professional standards, and SEC and GAAP reporting guidelines.
Essential Job Functions include but are not limited to:
- Preparation of SEC financial reporting including the 10-K, Proxy, 10-Q’s, and 8-K’s
- Preparation of audited and unaudited financial statements and the related footnote disclosures
- Preparation of financial reporting to investors including earnings releases and investor presentations
- Preparation of regulatory financial reporting including the Call Report and the FR-Y 9C
- Use of financial publishing software and regulatory reporting software
- Assist with the Company's annual audit and its independent auditors
- Comply with written policies and procedures over the financial reporting process
- Comply with internal controls over financial reporting
- Research accounting treatment on new or complex transactions as well as the implementation of new accounting pronouncements to ensure U.S. GAAP and regulatory compliance.
- Understand written memorandums or accounting position paper addressing issues related to their work

Other Job Requirements
- Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP and banking industry accounting practices
- Knowledge of best practices in internal controls
- Be very detail-oriented and possess strong verbal and written communication skills
- Possess expertise in other beneficial areas including income tax reporting, asset liability management, interest rate swaps, investments, capital markets and mergers & acquisitions
- Identify, research, recommend and implement new alternatives to increase productivity
- Advanced use of Microsoft Excel and Proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Business preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 5 years' Accounting experience with a focus on banking preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
