Summary:
The Supply Chain Manager is a key leader within the Zipcar region and market responsible for providing team leadership, maximizing growth, and driving operational fleet performance working onsite at our O’Hare Airport Chicago Supply Chain facility while contributing positively to overall Company success.
The role is accountable for driving fleet relevant components of the market P&L including key outcome and operational metrics. The Supply Chain Manager provides leadership, coaching, and training to the Supply Chain Fleet Team across a variety of functions including: financial and operational metrics focus, task prioritization and execution, process improvement, and vehicle lifecycle management. In addition, the role is responsible for delivering results through advancing operational excellence and optimizing to market trends. Responsibilities:

Collaborate with Zipcar and ABG Supply Chain functional teams and Regional Operations Manager on overall region strategy

On site management of fleet operations in accordance with regional plan to achieve targets and business goals

Manage Fleet Operations team at Supply Chain location including: Fleet Coordinators and Fleet Associates
-
Work closely with ABG Supply Chain leadership and third-party vendors (on and off site).

Drive Zipcar Net Promoter Score via excellent in vehicle condition and readiness
-
Manage the process of in-fleeting and de-fleeting vehicles, including Zipcar branding preparation, installation of Zipcar's proprietary access system, and technology inventory control.

Leverage Zipcar processes to manage the upkeep, maintenance, repair and cleanliness of vehicles while minimizing vehicle downtime
-
Collaborate with internal partners to ensure vehicles are properly maintained, repaired and cleaned to Zipcar's high standard.

Manage vendor relationships and performance to maximize vehicle condition and uptime while minimize costs.

Daily communication and reporting with Supply Chain, and Operations leadership regarding daily strategy and weekly/monthly projections

Work across Zipcar functional teams to support performance and process improvement.

Responsible for the hiring, training, and development of fleet management staff including but not limited to: performance management, succession planning, goal setting, development and input performance reviews.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate must have the following experience, skills, and education:

Bachelor’s degree in related field required

Working knowledge of vehicle maintenance
-
5 yrs. experience in relevant field/roles
-
Management – demonstrated ability to manage work flow, tasks, vendors and teams
-
Measurement – the results-driven individual has experience tracking the success of operational improvement programs, and is not only a provider of great ideas, but a business leader with an acute eye for ROI.

Problem solving: can identify and resolve problems in a timely manner gather and analyze information skillfully while maintaining confidentiality.

Communication: has excellent verbal and written communication skills and can articulate clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations. Group presentation skills are also required

Planning/organizing: individual is self-directed, prioritizes and plans work activities and uses time efficiently
-
Quality control: demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, monitors own work to ensure quality

Strong attention to detail

Adaptability: the individual adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events

Local market knowledge is a plus!!

Proficient with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
