Shift: Days 6a-2:30p/10a-6:30p with a weekend rotation
POSITION SUMMARY: Perform duties which combine preparing and serving food for inpatients, staff, and general population.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: This section reviews the employee’s performance of the responsibilities outlined in his/her specific job description.
- Prepares and serves attractive meals under high standards of sanitation Responsible for maintaining high standards of quality food production while following food service sanitation guidelines.
- Prepares accurate amounts of food. Follows recipes to create standardized products. Does necessary pre-prep work.
- Maintains foods at proper temperatures. Keeps a neat and orderly work area. Labels, dates and rotates foods and utilizes leftovers. Performs assigned cleaning projects.
- Able to operate and maintain all necessary equipment. Answers phone properly, records messages and acts upon them. Maintains temperature logs.
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and/or pans using dishwashers or by hand, Place clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in storage areas. Remove trash. Clean garbage cans with water or steam. Sweep and scrub floors. Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition.
- All other duties as assigned.

- Less than a High School Diploma; None.
