Kutztown University Dining Services currently seeks friendly, service-oriented individuals to join our team at our on-camus Chick-Fil-A!

The Food Service Worker is an integral part of our growing Dining Services division that is responsible for preparing and/or building food items while providing customer service and adhering to food safety, food handling, sanitation procedures, and national brand standards.

Essential Functions:

• Prepares and creates food items according to brand standards, recipes, and customer requests
• Sets up assigned workstations with all needed ingredients and equipment to ensure efficiency throughout shift, including prep tables, service counters, hot wells, steam tables, and more
• Breaksdown and sanitizes work stations as needed
• Maintains daily temperature and communication logs
• Ensures the proper use and sanitization of machinery and equipment
• May prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items
• Replenishes food items and stock throughout shift as needed
• Works with chemicals, heated equipment, steam, and other conditions in a safe manner
• Maintain food identifiers in a neat and orderly manner
• Properly label and date food to be stored
• Reports any hazards to the supervisor or manager immediately

Qualifications:

• Previous food service experience required
• Must be willing and able to pass brand-specific training and certification courses
• An ability to provide outstanding guest service
• An ability to work quickly and concisely under pressure while maintaining good customer service and working efficiently with the team
• An ability to perform repetitive tasks and motions
• Basic food handling skills
• Must be able to stand for entire duration of shift
• Ability to understand and follow directions given by management
• Attends work and shows up for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity in proper uniform
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 30 pounds
• Adheres to all safety regulations

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour
