Position: Front Desk Associate

Report to: General Manager

Purpose of Position: Greet all Guests and provide a high quality of assistance in registering, assigning rooms, making reservations and arranging for all other services requested by the Guest.

1. Personally greet all Guests upon their arrival at the hotel in a professional, courteous manner according to hotel policy.

2. Register Guests and assign rooms in an accurate, timely and polite manner.

3. Ensure Guests are directed to their room in a manner which ensures understanding of the hotel areas, without announcing room numbers.

4. Answer telephone calls in a prompt (within four rings) manner and direct calls accurately or assist the caller with requests.

5. Make and confirm all reservations in a polite, accurate and efficient manner.

6. Compute bill and collect payment at check out from Guests in an accurate, efficient manner maintaining hotel accounting, credit control and financial transaction procedures.

7. Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel services, registration of Guests; and shopping, dining, entertainment and travel directions.

8. Deposit Guests’ valuables in hotel safe or safe-deposit box if requested.

9. Understand and enforced the hotel company credit policies.

10. Account for all cash and make deposits in accordance with hotel and company policies.

11. Communicate effectively with other front office and hotel departments.

12. Report to work for scheduled shift, on time and in uniform in accordance with company policy.

13. Know and comply with all company policies and procedures pertaining to this position and its duties.

14. Display a consistent team-oriented demeanor at all times by maintaining clear channels of communications open with upper management, fellow employees and Guests in compliance with Company policies.

15. Ensure all decisions regarding employees, company issues, Guest service, laws, rules, regulations and safety are made from an objective analysis of the situation and the stated position of the company.

16. Follow procedures for notifying the proper company management level employees and civil authorities in the event of an emergency or anticipated emergency.

17. Display a consistent team-oriented demeanor at all times by maintaining open channels of communications with upper management, fellow co-workers, and Guests in compliance with Company policies.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
