Work as a member of our geotechnical and construction materials testing staff. This position
includes a mix of field, laboratory and office time. During the construction season it is common to
visit several construction sites on a daily basis. The majority of our sites are located within a 200-
mile radius of Sioux Falls. Overnight travel is limited. To keep up with our client and contractor
work schedules, you may be required to start early on certain days and work an occasional
Saturday. A minimum of 40 hours per week is expected and overtime may be necessary.

Work as a member of our team of experienced engineers, technicians and drill crews to deliver
geotechnical and construction materials testing services to our clients. Perform on-site
geotechnical observations, construction materials testing and special inspection services in
accordance with project specifications and recognized standards. Communicate with clients and
contractors on job sites and completing necessary documentation. Preparing associated reports
and oversight of project observations and testing of assigned project sites.

Previous geotechnical or construction materials testing experience is desired, however, we will
train someone with the right attitude, is motivated and is willing to learn and be challenged. You
should have strong math, verbal and writing skills along with the ability to, or learn to, read
construction plans and specifications. A degree in engineering, geology or related science is
required.

The position requires the ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift
and/or move up to 75 pounds. You must have and maintain a valid driver’s license. Some
overnight travel may be required with position.
