Position Description: The Development Manager will oversee management of the donor database, coordinate appeals, and provide administrative support for the Development team. The Manager should feel empowered to be responsible for their projects while also working well within a small team environment. This is a full-time position with generous PTO and work-life flexibility.Development Responsibilities:
? Perform all gift processing tasks; collect mail, copy donation checks, process donations with multiple steps including financial and development tracking, process donations in Paypal, ensure all donations are reconciled
? Print and mail donor thank you letters within a timely manner
? Serve as liaison to vendors such as mail-houses and graphic designer
? Alert Chief Strategy & Development Officer (CSO) of major gifts and other significant donor information
? Prepare Chief Executive Officer and CSO for donor/outreach lunches, tours and meetings as well coordinating follow-up
? Create and manage Annual Campaigns, Appeals, and Annual Report
? Create and manage annual Development plan and calendar
? Assist with Foundation Grant application and reports, as needed
? Solicit, compile, and produce stories for newsletters, and post relevant stories on website
Database Management:
? The Manager will be the power user for the organizations database
? Perform all data entry (donor information, donations and prospects)
? Perform regular database maintenance and clean-up projects to ensure data integrity and accessibility
? Run reports and mailing lists as needed on a fairly regular basis
? Integrate and manage email addresses in Constant Contacts
? Develop and maintain policies and procedures for data entry and finances
? Make recommendations for information systems as appropriate
Event Support
? Provide administrative support for donor cultivation events; collecting RSVPs, creating name tags, etc
? Coordinate follow-up thank yous and entering notes into database
? Provide event support when additional events are planned
Qualifications:
? At least three to five years of experience working in Development in non-profit, college/university, healthcare, hospital or similar environment
? Relevant leadership experience

Required Education and Experience:
1. Bachelors Degree (BA or BS) in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Public Administration or similar
2. Possess NYS Drivers License in good standing
Preferred Education & Experience
1. Bilingual English/Spanish
2. Personal lived experience/s with mental illness preferred.
