Gas Engine Disassembly Technician
Job description
Job Duties/Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Requires a mechanical or electronic aptitude with a good working knowledge various procedures and practices to be effective in meeting disassembly production cycle times
- Performs duties safely
- Use of various tools provided in the work area to perform disassembly duties to the component level
- Use of lifting devices and cranes to move components weighing more than 40 Lbs
- Follows documented procedures in standard work
- Operates industrial sized pressure washer
- Disassembles in an organized manner to maintain steady flow of components into the process
- Identifies and documents component abnormalities during disassembly
- Uses principles of 5S, continuous improvement, and standard work to eliminate waste
- Keeps tools and work area clean and orderly
- Contributing team member
- Effective communication skills
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Technical school or certification in a related discipline preferred
- Heavy equipment and industrial machine mechanical experience
- Manufacturing experience
- Experience in lean manufacturing
- Experience working in a "team environment"
- Intermediate proficiency with Standard Operating Procedures or Standard Work
- Basic computer skills
