At Timberidge Custom Homes, we are focused on developing our team members. A Construction Laborer at Timberidge Custom Homes is vital to the success of any project. Therefore, our Laborers are called Job Site Managers.
Job Site Laborer Role

• Embraces and lives the Team Vision, Mission and Values
• Coordinates with other team members and helps them be successful in their roles.
• Arrives at work by 7:00am daily M-F and stays until work day is complete(typically 5pm)
• Communicates well with team and others. Responds to emails within 24 hours and texts within 4 hours (even if it is just to say I don’t have an answer but I am working on it and I’ll have answer by ______)
• Attends Weekly Timberidge Team meeting Thursday 7:30-8:30am and participates in success of team
• Attends Weekly Timberidge Remodel Construction meeting Tues 8am, reports on their job sites, asks for what they need from the team, and helps promote the success of all Timberidge Custom Remodels
• Always sets expectations they can meet. Then strives to make those expectations happen.
• SMEE Sets, Meets and Exceeds Expectations. Set’s expectations early and often. Does not allow an expectation to fall (resets expectation before expectation has failed)
• Responsible for the Jobsite management of all our remodels
• Takes full responsibility for “A Timberidge Home is” checklist on each jobsite
• Provides Daily support to Timberidge Crasftmen, Working Supers, and Trade Team Members. Consistently offers help and immediately jumps in when he can help.
• Does everything in his power to help create a defect free home, on time and in budget
• Helps Prepare Home for remodel - stake for dig, construction fence, waddle, (if necessary) then has precon meeting with Project Manager. Locates all shutoffs for home prior to starting demo and construction. Make sure necessary tools for shut offs are immediately available.
• Attends necessary meetings with Craftsmen and/or Working Super and provides assistance to all tasks necessary for the project to succeed.
• Helps Craftsmen with material management by picking up necessary supplies, and keeping the material accessible, protected, and organized onsite.
• Helps with Tools and equipment on each job. Keeps them safe, protected and in good working order
• Helps Working Super by being eyes and ears on jobsites and lets them know who is and who is not onsite
• Especially during winter months helps clear snow and ice and makes jobsites as productive and safe as possible
• Rotates with other members of the Team to promote Saturday construction activities (typically half day)
• Interacts with Homeowners on Limited basis but always works to satisfy them and make a customer for life

ROLE PROGRESSION LADDER:

When the Job Site Laborer has taken 100% responsibility for their current role and performed consistently at the highest level he or she may request the opportunity to advance. There are 2 paths a Job Site Laborer can take, to a Craftsman or a Superintendent.

Track A to Master Craftsman:

When he or she has advanced, learned, and proven a substantial skill level as an Craftsman Helper and when there is an opportunity within the company to do so, he or she may then advance to a Craftsman position.

Once the Craftsman has taken 100% responsibility for his or her current role and performed consistently at the highest level, and when he or she has learned and proven a substantial skill level as a Carpenter, and when there is an opportunity within the company to do so, He may then advance to a Master Craftsman position.

Track B to Superintendent:

When he or she has advanced, learned, and proven a substantial skill level as a helper to the Assist Super, and when there is an opportunity within the company to do so, he or she may then advance to a Assist Super position.

Once the Assist Super has taken 100% responsibility for their current role and performed consistently at the highest level, and when he or she has learned and proven a substantial skill level as a Working Superintendent, and when there is an opportunity within the company to do so, he or she may then advance to a Working Superintendent position.

A Timberidge Home Is:

• Clean (We have the cleanest Most Organized Homes in the Community)
• Signed (Has proper signage and address)
• Accessible (Can safely get in and out of site without making a mess)
• Safe (No Fall & Trip hazards, keep our team, partners, and owners safe)
• Active (Something happens everyday on every home)
• Utilities as early as possible (Power, Water, Sewer, Gas, Etc as soon as possible)
• Selections complete early, signed, and posted in each room
• Secure (As soon as feasible, homes are secured nightly. Windows and doors latched)

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
