Starting Compensation: $50,000 - $62,000 Annually

The Buckeye Ranch is currently seeking a Grant Accountant to join the Accounting department. The primary function of the Grant Accountant is to prepare, compile, coordinate and/or review information related to the set-up and maintenance of federal and state grants, including that required for external reporting requirements of the grantee.

Schedule: Full-time, Exempt (Mon-Fri, Normal Business Hours)

Location: Whitehall, OH (Hybrid work options available)

What you'll do

• Participates in the yearly audit
• Interacts with staff, different departments, and/or external agencies to ensure accuracy of accounts, responds to inquiries, and provides accounting support
• Participates in the Annual cost reports and performs any ADAMH block grant funding requests and yearly block grant reconciliations
• Preparations of monthly/quarterly reports to Grant providing agencies
• Verifies, monitors, and reconciles accounts
• Collects, enters, updates, and maintains account information
• Preparation of budget on Grant applications
• Attends ODJFS, United Way, ADAMH and other third-party financial meetings, to ensure that the organization is kept current on all financial issues and changes in reporting, billing, and proposal requirements to ensure compliance
• Collaboration with the granting agency and City personnel responsible for grant administration
• Completes various schedules, reports, and projects at the direction of the CFO, Controller, and Assistant Controller

Who you are

• Bachelor's degree required
• One to two years related accounting experience; Federal Grant reporting experience preferred
