The Creative Content Specialist is responsible for assisting with the execution and development of the creative content strategy for Guthrie Green and LowDown, including content planning, ideation, creation, curation, design development, and project and campaign management.The ideal candidate will produce marketing deliverables that are on brand, consistent, and of high quality across all platforms. It is critical that this person uses their keen eye for detail to deliver creative and high-quality work for Guthrie Green and LowDown. This role will report into the Marketing Manager of Guthrie Green and LowDown.

Essential Functions (Including, but not limited to):

  • Build all creative for GGP Park’s marketing plans and marketing campaigns, including those in partnership with corporate sponsors and community partners
  • Coordinate with other marketing divisions and departments to create campaigns for events and promotions that drive awareness
  • Execute the marketing and PR strategies, publicity, and social campaigns for Guthrie Green and LowDown to drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention
  • Execute all Instagram uploads and optimizations, making sure the pages are up to date with current tentpole campaigns, evergreen content, and synergy/partnership calendar
  • Work in collaboration with the Marketing and Communications team to support a collective, multiplatform calendar with creative strategies
  • Translate marketing objectives into clear creative strategies through conceptualization
  • Ideate and develop designs for GGP Parks experiences and activations
  • Demonstrate illustrative skills from rough sketches, mock-up renderings, to production
  • Identify creative new ways to integrate the goals of GGP Parks into local, national, and international campaigns
  • Support all departments with concept ideas and design direction
  • Design all creative for marketing assignments: create, target, and execute brand-centric marketing visuals and supporting assets (ex: in-park signage, social media assets, and online visuals)
  • Assist in ensuring that all social accounts represent the proper branding and have a consistent aesthetic on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok
  • Present creative ideas and pitch new ideas
  • Design new merchandise and retail
  • Review creative materials submitted by stakeholders, external partners, freelancers, and creative agencies; provide feedback
  • Ensure all visual communication and brand standards are met
  • Monitor deliverables, timelines, and budgets
  • Research, pitch, and project manage video, visuals, and design content from ideation to publishing across all social media platforms
  • Develop visuals for evergreen brand content strategies
  • Manage archive of creative assets (ex: images, graphics)
  • Share platform best practices and test learnings
  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in visual/graphic design or a related field
  • Must have design, graphic, and/or visual communication experience: 3 - 5 years
  • Strong portfolio showcasing creative experience
  • Proficiency in industry-standard programs and software: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and other graphic editing/design software
  • Ability to conceptualize, visualize, and design
  • Able to edit multimedia
  • Equipped with excellent project management, analytic skills, and proven ability to meet deadline
  • Must be fluent with current marketing trends in design, digital, consumer products, and brand experiences
  • Must be a strong team player
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Keynote for Mac
  • Basic understanding of digital analytics and performance tracking
  • Knowledge of social platforms and its native products
  • Ability to be nimble and adapt quickly to new technologies and processes
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with an exceptional sense of accountability
  • Be able to find creative solutions to challenges and use data to drive content development and programming decisions
  • Excellent skills in developing creative and innovative ideas
  • Up to date with current marketing trends in design, digital, consumer products, and brand experiences

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Perform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp, and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing)
  • Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, including extreme heat
  • Work regularly Monday through Friday but with flexibility based on business needs to include weekends, evenings, and holidays
