HIGHWAY DESIGNER McTish, Kunkel & Associates is seeking a Designer to join the Transportation Team in our Allentown, PA office. The successful candidate will have a background in civil engineering or equivalent experience, be skilled with Bentley InRoads and/or OpenRoads, and become an integral part of a team dedicated to the planning and engineering design of highways, intersections, and interchanges. This position will work directly for experienced Senior Highway Engineers and collaboratively with other engineers on projects for PennDOT, regional and local agencies.   • Experience with Bentley InRoads and/or OpenRoads
  • AAS degree in Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office software, particularly Excel
  • Well organized and detail oriented

  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and take on new challenges

WATER RESOURCES ENGINEER McTish, Kunkel & Associates is seeking a Water Resources Engineer to join the Transportation Team in our Allentown, PA office. The successful candidate will have practical knowledge in water resources engineering and conduct watershed and stormwater management design, roadway drainage design, culvert/bridge hydraulic analysis, and floodplain studies as part of transportation projects for PennDOT, regional, and local agencies. You will also be involved in technical writing and waterway permitting. Opportunities for career advancement including project management are available. Applicants should meet the following requirements:

  • BS degree in Civil Engineering
  • FE/EIT required, PE preferred
  • 4+ years of water resources engineering experience
  • Experience in watershed and stormwater management, stormwater quantity and quality control measures, surface water hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, drainage design, erosion and sediment control design, and watershed/waterway modeling
  • Working knowledge of hydrologic & hydraulic modeling software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, HY-8, TR-20, and SWMM
  • Working knowledge of FEMA, PaDEP, and Army Corps of Engineers design and permitting regulations
  • Experience with Bentley InRoads and ArcGIS
  • Proficiency in MS Office software, particularly Excel
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are a must for preparation of project reports
  • Well organized and detail oriented
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work within a team setting
