DESCRIPTION

Decypher is seeking a HIPPA Compliance Specialist to support Lackland AFB, TX.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist the AFMSA/SG3S Director in supporting development, implementation, maintenance of, and compliance with HIPAA privacy and requirements
• Provide assistance to research, investigate and coordinate complaints to resolution
• Provide support and assistance to AF/SG, AFMSA, AFMOA and Direct Reporting Units as policy consultant, track changes to law, advocate for changes in training documentation and new policy development
• Assist in updating and delivery of training modules by the date/time mutually agreed upon between the Contractor and the PM/COR Provide HIPAA Privacy Initial and Annual Refresher Training to new AF/SG and AFMSA personnel
• Assist in providing SG3S’ portion of AFMSA’s SG Newcomers briefing/training monthly Provide replies to all communications received
• Provide assistance and recommendations to AFMOA leadership to facilitate awareness and organizational planning as necessary
• Conducts, tracks AFMOA staff and MTF training support monthly Serve as liaison to examine, resolve, and mitigate breaches, complaints, and inquiries received Coordinate the collection, compilation, and analysis of program activity data; present comprehensive statistical and narrative program reports on time

QUALIFICATIONS

• Masters Degree in Management, Business, Healthcare Administration or other relevant healthcare specialty
• 3 years’ experience training/communicating/briefing at the senior leadership level
• 3 years’ experience in the military health care environment
• 5 years’ experience in HIPAA privacy practices and HIPAA security practices
• 10 years’ experience in military health care system (MHS) preferably gained through Healthcare Operations, Health Information Management or Health Information Systems activities and HIPAA Compliance
• Certified in HIPAA Compliance
• US Citizen
