Accounts Receivables Representative

Kansas City Orthopeadic Institute is a single specialty orthopedic hospital. We are physician owned, 17 Inpatient Unit beds with 8 state of the art surgical suites. We have been serving the Kansas City area for over 20 years. Our hospital offers our staff work life balance, Monday through Friday schedules, occasional weekends and a generous PTO policy.

Job Function:

Admissions Reps perform the same functions within the area they are assigned. Service Areas for Admissions is Rehab, MRI, Pain, Surgery, and Urgent Care. Admissions Reps perform opening and closing responsibilities. Responsibilities include greeting, registering, preparing admission paperwork and admitting patients. Use of whiteboard/dashboard/ER Express and or phone for notification of patient arrival/status. Go over patient insurance benefits and Collect/post applicable copays/deductible amount from patients at the time of admission and track visits/auth’s, Complete benefit verification for Rehab. Call patients and pre-register prior to admission. Scheduling of next appointments.

Requirements:

Experience: 1-2years relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education & experience.

Licensing/Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
