The Canopy Tempe Downtown hotel is looking for a full time engineer that can help us maintain our beautiful new hotel!

POSITION PURPOSE

To maintain the operating condition of all equipment and property preventative maintenance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Maintain and repair all equipment. Assist with repairs and maintenance as determined by the Supervisor or as needed. (Through service work check lists, preventative maintenance, mechanic challenges, operation testing.)
• Perform all preventative maintenance on equipment scheduled. i.e. service work, grinding, adjustments
• Perform walk around inspections on equipment through checking equipment for condition and parts to be repaired or replaced. Maintain documentation using directed means by Department Manager.
• Participate in departmental training’s on equipment to the satisfaction of the Director. Training’s will cover specific points in the daily operations of the department.
• Report status of equipment to Director or Lead through service sheets or verbal communications to insure proper functions and safety.
• Supportive to hotel wide training programs including but not limited to: OSHA, Safety, Educational and Employee Enhancement programs to assure the continual upgrading of department personnel

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Education

High school or equivalent education required. Bachelor’s Degree or related technical school degree preferred.

Experience

One year in a major hotel, hospital, or building maintenance department required.

Grooming

All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Driftwood Hospitality Management, LLC and Hilton standards.
