Position*: Human Resources Business Partner
Department: Administration
Reports To: Sr. HR Business Partner
FLSA: Exempt

Primary Function:*

The incumbent is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the Human Resource department. Supporting the Sr. HR Business Partner with various responsibilities including but not limited to: recruitment, employee relations, employment processing, on-boarding, records management, compliance, and other tasks as needed.

Job Scope and Major Responsibilities:*

Assists with the administration of procedures and guidelines.

  • Maintains employee-related databases.
  • Prepares periodic reports for management, as necessary or requested.
  • Fully utilizes Human Resources software (experience with ADP preferred).
  • Establish and maintain strong influential relationships with all levels of company employees.
  • Assists managers with routine and moderately complex employee relation issues.
  • Create, maintain, and make recommendations to Asembia’s HR standard operating procedures (SOP’s).
  • Help create and assist with employee engagement activities designed to influence employee morale.
  • Assist with the effective roll out and completion of annual programs such as performance appraisals, merit increases, bonuses, etc.
  • Conduct new hire onboarding.
  • Completes special projects and tasks.
  • Complies with federal, state and local legal requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality with highly sensitive information and adhere to all data privacy and internal compliance requirements.
  • Compliance with the provisions of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 and its implementing regulations, as amended (“HIPAA”)

Performance Criteria:*

  • Experience in understanding and interpreting employment law and regulations for an organization that operates in multiple US states for application to business practices.
  • Experience working within an organization headcount of at least 1,000 employees.
  • Effective time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills – ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain a high degree of accuracy while adhering to business deadlines.
  • Ability to navigate challenging situations with tact so all parties that you communicate with feel heard and acknowledged.

Required Qualifications:*

*
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, or Organization Development or equivalent.

  • Three (3) to five (5) plus years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources positions to include resolving moderately complex employee relations issues.
  • Experience with HRIS (ADP Workforce Now preferred).
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Windows including Excel, Outlook and Word.
  • Effective oral and written communication.
  • Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality.
  • Desire to develop into a Sr HRBP role
  • PHR or SHRM – CP or AIHR certification preferred, not required.
