Primary Responsibilities:
The Manager, HR Systems partners with the Director, HR Systems, and is responsible for serving as a subject matter expert (SME) for several solution platforms supporting the overall HR and business strategy. This role builds project plans, ensures adherence to schedules, and works effectively with internal and external customers to set technology priorities and to assist with long-term strategic planning and execution. This role also serves as a technical point-of-contact for assigned functional areas and assists other Centers of Excellence (COEs) with data integrity, system testing, report writing and workflow analysis for process improvement opportunities. Essential Functions:
  • Serves as a SME and supports the following HR systems: UKG Pro (Core HRMS/Payroll), UTA (UKG Time & Attendance), ICIMS (ATS and Onboarding), and Cornerstone (Compensation, Learning and Development and Performance Management).
  • Oversees related projects and process improvement initiatives to maximize our systems capabilities through automation and efficiency:
  • Identifies and understands complex system issues, recommends solutions and takes the appropriate course of action to best support the business.
  • Compares data from different sources to draw conclusions. Uses such data to build project plans, ensure adherence to the project’s schedule and executes to achieve project goals.
  • Recommends process/customer service improvements, new and innovative solutions, and policy/practice changes to drive a world class HR function.
  • Partner with HR COEs (e.g., Benefits, Compensation, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, etc.) on strategic initiatives, performing needs analysis’ and recommending solutions as needed.
  • Provides production support/customer service to internal and external customers, which includes Researching and resolving systems issues, unexpected results or process flaws; Performing scheduled activities and; Recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
  • Performs system maintenance, which includes assisting in the review, testing and implementation of upgrades, and documenting/training as such.
  • Generates reports/queries, which includes writing, maintaining, and supporting a variety of ad-hoc and routine reports utilizing Cognos Analytics and MS Excel. Helps maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data.
  • Assists in the development and administration of vendor data integrations.
  • Manages relationships with third-party system providers/vendors.
  • Maintains awareness of current trends in HRMS with a focus on product and service development, delivery, and support, and application of key technologies. Continuously increases HR systems application/tools knowledge. Participates in user group meetings/conferences.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support the Human Resource function.
Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum three years of relevant HRIS experience required.
  • UKG Pro HRIS/Payroll experience strongly preferred.
  • iCIMS Applicant Tracking System (ATS) experience strongly preferred.
  • Cognos Analytics experience preferred.
  • UKG Time & Attendance experience preferred.
  • Experience with HCM suite integrations preferred.
  • Expert proficiency with Excel, includes writing formulas, VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.
  • Strong analytical skills, be resourceful, well organized and have a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong project and time management skills and an ability to effectively manage multiple priorities. Able to move projects forward with limited oversight.
  • Ability to interact and work collaboratively with anyone (e.g., peers, leaders, and vendors) and build strong lasting relationships.
