General Job Summary: The Human Resources Assistant performs tasks related to recruiting, retention and overall support for efficient and effective HR operations.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resources files, records and documentation.

2. Responsible for the recruiting process including posting jobs, scheduling interviews, assisting in the interview process, extending job offers and communicating with applicants throughout the employment process.

3. Ensures background check and drug screen are complete.

4. Launches and completes digital onboarding process with new employees prior to start date.

5. Conducts or assists with new hire orientation and acts as point of contact for new employee questions.

6. Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resources files and records. 7. Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to policies, benefits and hiring processes; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior level HR staff or management.

8. Performs periodic audits of the HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.

9. Responsible for ordering new employee uniforms. Tracks related inventory fulfillment and invoice.

10. Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, meetings, employee recognition or appreciation events, holiday parties and retirement celebrations.

11. Performs other duties that may be necessary or in the best interest of the department/practice.

Education/Experience: Associated degree in related field preferred. Prior experience in recruiting or other human resource roles preferred.

Other Requirements: Travel to other locations as designated. Schedules will change as department needs change, including overtime. Performance Requirements: Knowledge:

1. Basic understanding of human resource functions. Knowledge of HR disciplines and regulations.

2. Understanding of human resources and payroll reporting and recordkeeping requirements.

3. Previous experience with HRIS preferred.

4. Highly proficient with MS Office.

1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

2. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information and situations with tact, professionalism and diplomacy.

3. Meticulous attention to detail.

4. Ability to accurately follow instructions.

5. Able to work independently and as part of a team.

6. Excellent organizational and time management skill to effectively prioritize work. 7. Works well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
