POSITION SUMMARY
The Human Resourceis responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and working closely with site leadership in supporting the workforce. This position requires a high level of confidentiality dealing with a variety of personnel and management issues. Daily responsibilities and accountability for this position are in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment and employment engagement, payroll administration, and employment law. Position represents the Company professionally, working with our employees, customers, and community in a safe and ethical manner.
JOB FUNCTIONS
- Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all company personnel, Increasing HR outreach and employee engagement
- Works closely with leaders to provide coaching and resolution to address employees with below expectation performance
- Onboard new employees to ensure compliance with human resources, safety, and quality policies and standards
- Performs benefits administration to include claims resolution, claims reporting, updating enrollment information and communicating benefit information to employees.
- Maintains and assists in FMLA and LOA management.
- Establishes strong relationships with operational leaders and employees through regular meetings, visits, and other contact.
- Handles employee relations counseling and exit interviewing.
- Assists employees with appropriate administrative service requests
- Maintains employee and employment records
- Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment
- Works as a point of contact for operational leaders on Administrative HR Issues
- Offering community outreach to involve Leigh Fibers in events to increase our involvement and brand recognition awareness
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
- Payroll administration (review employee time punch edits made by managers to ensure accuracy and consistency, provide assistance with troubleshooting and resolving employee pay discrepancies, process weekly payroll in ADP, coordinate weekly time sheets with staffing agencies, manage payroll files and other record keeping)
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management or related field preferred.
- 2 years of experience in Human Resources. Experience staffing in a dynamic and diverse environment.
- Professional level ability to interface and communicate effectively with all levels of management and employees.
- Must have influencing skills, interpersonal skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, a working knowledge of Microsoft Office ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $52,679.00 per year
