ABYay! is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to add to our growing team!

We are seeking an outgoing, positive, and collaborative Human Resources Coordinator to join our small Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) company. Our company provides valuable services for children on the autism spectrum, and we are looking for a candidate who is passionate about contributing to our mission. The ideal candidate is passionate about fostering and maintaining a positive company culture and being a source of support and encouragement for their team. The HR Coordinator, under the supervision of the HR Manager, will be responsible for recruiting, onboarding, training, and managing employees, and will be proactively involved in employee engagement and outreach initiatives. They will work to integrate feedback in creative ways to improve company culture and staff experience. The candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, a growth-mindset, and value staff feedback.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct job interviews and coordinate the onboarding of new hires
  • Update job requirements as needed
  • Contact applicants’ references and collect documentation required by state regulations
  • Coordinate initial and ongoing training for staff
  • Maintain up-to-date training logs and ensure all training requirements are met
  • Process PTO requests and maintain employee records and paperwork
  • Collaborate with the clinical and billing departments to ensure adequate staffing coverage by identifying and scheduling substitute opportunities for staff.
  • Answer policy and benefit related questions
  • Assist with payroll as needed
  • Conduct staff outreach such as “check-ins,” staff satisfaction surveys, and “stay interviews”
  • Uphold company values and mission in all aspects of performance and interactions with staff
  • Represent the company at events and distribute company literature to potential referral sources, providing information on our services and answering questions
  • Assist in planning and conducting company events such as picnics, parties, and team building
  • Ability to work remotely, with willingness to travel intermittently within the greater Harrisburg, York, and Hanover areas
  • Assist in addressing performance concerns and developing strategies to support staff when a growth area is identified
  • Utilize feedback from all levels to develop initiatives to maintain and improve company culture
  • Provide timely and accurate correspondence

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in human resources
  • Knowledge of state and federal employment laws and regulations
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Outlook
