    Position Title: Information Services and Database Specialist
    Work Schedule: 12-months; Monday through Friday; 8 hours per day
    Start Date: As Soon As Possible
    Salary: $55,000 - $70,000 DOQ

    Summary:
    Provides support in the Information Services Department as well as for the district’s student information and database systems.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
    • Coordinates and collaborates with the district network staff and information services staff for the daily maintenance, evaluation, and support of the student information system
    • Collaborates with other colleagues to plan for and implement Campus updates
    • Acts as a liaison on the Campus helpline and email for district users, vendors, and parents/guardians
    • Troubleshoots and responds to end-user Campus and hardware issues; coordinates with tech support to ensure end user’s problems are resolved
    • Collaborates with other colleagues to activate and disable Campus user accounts and ensures that user rights are set within district guidelines
    • Coordinates the implementation of new Campus features with the appropriate district and school staff
    • Prepares for and provides staff training in the use of the student information system
    • Coordinates within the department and with other departments to ensure that all student data maintained by Information Services is accurate. Verifies data is reported accurately to the state
    • Participates in the development and evaluation of student information policies
    • Coordinates, writes, and documents student information procedures
    • Participates in training sessions for professional development
    • Notifies Campus users of urgent issues and updates
    • Creates custom reports and provides student data utilizing database software
    • Integrates and supports special applications
    • Develops customized database applications
    • Provides reconciliation of data
    • Support and maintain student, staff, and parent/guardian accounts
    • Seeks staff input in determining student information system improvements
    • Other duties as assigned

    Work Environment:
    Office environment; primarily works indoors.

    Required Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Programming, Information Systems, or other technology related field
    • At least two years of experience working in a technology field
    • Experience with K-12 student records database systems
    • Familiarity with and ability to work with a wide range of software products
    • Evidence of good communication skills and ability to work effectively with staff, management, and vendors

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Three-five years of experience with K-12 student or employee records database systems
    • Experience with state requirements for student and employee reporting
