Questar III BOCES announces a vacancy for a full-time Information Technology (IT) Project Manager position based out of our Central Office in Castleton, NY. This position will be responsible for administration of network and server infrastructure, planning of technology projects, managing teams of IT professionals, implementation of technology security and the execution of technology-related tasks and initiatives. The IT PM will focus on special IT projects requiring specialized IT skills and will manage all aspects of assigned IT projects. The position requires strong organizational and communication skills; experience independently managing IT projects; strong trouble shooting and problem-solving skills; and advanced knowledge of security. Specialized knowledge of cyber security, networking infrastructure, experience managing complex IT projects, MDM experience, Apple device expertise, training, audit and help desk administration is essential. Supervisory responsibility for project team staff and consultants. The incumbent will do other IT related work as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and EITHER:

A) Graduation from a regionally accredited college or university or one accredited by the New York State Board of Regents to grant degrees, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or a closely related field and two years of work experience involving responsibility for the maintenance, configuration, or installation of computer hardware and software in LAN and WAN based environments; OR

B) Graduation from a regionally accredited college or university or one accredited by the New York State Board of Regents to grant degrees, with an Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or a closely related field and four years of work experience involving responsibility for the maintenance, configuration, or installation of computer hardware and software in LAN and WAN based environments; OR

C) Six years of work experience involving responsibility for the maintenance, configuration, or installation of computer hardware and software in LAN and WAN based environments;
