Carey Manufacturing is a leader in the Connecticut manufacturing community. For over 40 years, we have manufactured latches, catches, handles and electronic hardware for aerospace, defense, medical and commercial industries.

We are currently hiring an Inside Sales and Customer Service Representative to process quotes, orders and customer service requests for our customers worldwide. Responsibilities include e-mail and phone quoting, order entry, customer communication, and managing customer expectations.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Manage phone inquiries and e-mail requests for quotes (No Cold Calling)
• Communicate effectively and proactively with customers
• Process quotes and enter orders
• Build and maintain customer satisfaction
• Must be organized with effective time management skills
• Communicate on a regular basis with customer service team and management
• Pleasant phone manner, patience and strong communication skills
• Interacting with other departments as required

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work in a high paced environment
• Experience with Word, Excel and ability to learn other computer applications

PREFERRED QUALIFCATIONS:

• Manufacturing work experience
• 2+ years experience in non-retail sales and customer service
• Ability to read blueprints
