Department Overview
The Vegetation Management (VM) and System Inspection (SI) Process and Organizational Development team initiates, monitors, coordinates and supports process improvement initiatives that have a direct impact on VMSI work efficiency objectives and support VMSI overall strategic plan. The team partners closely with leaders in Vegetation Management and System Inspection Execution, Vegetation Management Quality Control, Risk and Regulatory Compliance, and Quality Verification/Assurance to select and drive relevant projects to greater efficiency and productivity.

Position Summary
The Inspection Review Specialist examines and reviews the findings and data from asset inspection activities regarding alignment to safety, maintenance and compliance guidelines. Incumbents identify trends in the findings of other personnel, prepare reports and recommendations and validate determinations regarding which maintenance work needs to be completed. Role is an individual contributor, and may support other workgroups as approved by CIRT/QC leadership.
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory.

PG&E is providing the hourly rate range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual hourly rate paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.​

The hourly rate for this position ranges from:
Bay Area Minimum: $49.03
Bay Area Maximum: $77.88
&/OR
California Minimum: $46.63
California Maximum: $74.03

This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.

Job Responsibilities

Reviews completed inspection forms, attached pictures, maps and other information submitted from inspectors in company systems (such as SAP, Sherlock and others) to analyze and evaluate the inspector’s conclusions.
Presents findings and makes recommendations to management on assigned special projects.
Reviews, approves and releases staging notifications, corrective notifications and orders submitted by inspectors based on the priority of work tasks.
Provides training and/or feedback for Inspectors related to selecting the appropriate FDA (Facility/Damage/Action) for a maintenance issue identified, required information for Line Corrective (LC) or EC (Distribution) notifications, general feedback on quality of photos, etc.
Assists with the implementation of process improvement and efficiencies.
Performs quality assurance reviews, as applicable, based on the EC/LC field condition and/or any issues with the information provided from the originating inspector.
Assists others using established processes, practices and procedures, as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum:
High School or GED-General Educational Development-GED Diploma
Utility industry experience, or related, 5 years
Ability to travel up to 15 percent of working time

Desired:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering (e.g., Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, Materials, or related discipline) or equivalent experience
Experience in engineering, 4 years
Experience as electric Journeyman, 5 years
