Job description

Maintenance 2nd shift. Clear BG, NO MMC, STB are required. Will provide vest, hard hat, safety glasses and ear plugs. Pay is $24/hr+ DOE.

Shift is 7p-7a with rotating days off, will work every other weekend.

Job duties includes: Understands, follows, and leads by example in all established safety, health, quality GMP and Company policies, procedures, and practices.

· Must be able to work all maintenance related activities, including electrical, forklifts, HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic, and welding.

· Repairs or replaces defective parts on equipment.

· Lubricates and cleans working mechanisms on production equipment.

· Responds to break/fix requests to keep the production lines operating at target outputs.

· Performs preventative maintenance work on equipment and ensures timely completion of work orders.

· Diagnoses mechanical problems using problems solving skills, technical manuals, and experience.

· Typical repairs include but are not limited to routine maintenance and repair of hydraulic systems, extrusion equipment, wash systems, gear boxes, electrical systems, balers, conveyor systems, boilers, and chillers.

· Repairs or replaces parts as directed by a work order system. Completes service reports in a work order system.

· Communicates with supervisor and/or equipment operators for clarification of problems. Will coach equipment operators’ preventive techniques with equipment users to minimize future repairs.

· Completes daily reports for input in CMMS system.

· Installs and sets up new equipment and communicates with vendors regarding maintenance schedules.

· Reads, troubleshoots, and programs PLC instructions to enhance plant monitoring and performance as requested by operations staff or to support maintenance objectives.

· Knowledge of solid-state electronics including PLC and VFD troubleshooting experience.

· Follows all safety policies and procedures.

· May work any shift, and overtime as required.

· Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent

Qualifications: Minimum 3 years’ experience working on equipment in a manufacturing, recycling, distribution environment. Minimum 1 year experience with building maintenance, HVAC, blower systems and negative pressure systems. Welding and or fabrication skills. A valid driver’s license is required.

PLC Programing experience is a plus.
