BerryDunn is seeking an
IT and Security Specialist to join and support our growing Technology Assurance Team. The ideal candidate is excited to coach and mentor younger staff and summer interns, while working directly with our senior leadership and clients. The preferred candidate will have experience working on assessing the security controls, and systems for clients to support our team’s audit and advisory engagements. The ideal candidate is interested in helping our team grow though support of new business opportunities that align with the team’s business plan and is comfortable with some public speaking, selling, and professional networking. We are seeking a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). This position is planned to be based out of our Portland, ME office, however, BerryDunn has 6 regional US offices and hybrid, or remote opportunities may be available based on the candidate. You will report to the Principal of the Technology Assurance Group.

You Will:
- Work in a team environment to plan and complete technical audits and security studies.
- Lead technical engagements and successfully manage an engagement team when the engagement is focused on Information Security.
- Coach staff on technology risk management, available standards, and best practices.
- Conduct regular small group training sessions on tools, emerging technology, and security risks.
- Develop, review, distribute, and present project status and project deliverables.
- Communicate technical matters (findings and recommendations) to senior leadership and clients in a way that is understood.
- Assist with monitoring and tracking project action items, issues, risks, and decisions.
- Develop project issues and risk memos as needed.
- Be responsible for the technical components of engagements and work to support the designated project lead with understanding and communicating technical matters to clients.
- Manage and build strong relationships with client contacts and project team members
- Ensure that all day-today audit milestones, such as workpapers, tests of controls, and report preparation is completed to audit standards and to needed timeline.
You Have:
- Knowledge and experience in Server and Network configurations
- Demonstrated ability to manage the day-to-day activities of project team including making assignments and maintaining control over assignments, schedule, and performance of the project team members
- Demonstrated proactive problem management skills
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail with specific experience developing, editing, and presenting summaries, reports, and complex information and data
- Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS)
You Might Have: (if not we'll teach you!)
- Experience in building reports and workpapers that meet professional standards
- Knowledge of and experience with IT Audits, Security standards and frameworks, and IT security best practices and be aware of emerging technology and security risks
- Experience writing detailed descriptions of systems, business memos, and other deliverables for clients and/or management
- Experience in coaching staff and interns and providing supportive, but direct feedback on performance and workpaper quality.
- Comfort and experience with presentations skills and with interacting with clients as a point of contact for day-to-day communications.
The base salary range targeted for this role is $80,000 - $130,000. This salary range represents BerryDunn’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. If an applicant possesses experience, education, or other qualifications in excess of the minimum requirements for this posting, that applicant is encouraged to apply and a final salary range may then be based on those additional qualifications; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, years of experience, depth of experience, seniority, merit, education, training, amount of travel, and other relevant business considerations.
